Wat Bavornives Viharn

Wat Bovornives is a first class temple under the patronage of His Majesty the King. It was built in the reign of King Rama 3. 1822-1913. King Bhumibol and Crown Prince, as well as other males in the Royal Family, have been ordained here. This temple is the national head quarters for the Thamayut monastic organisation. The Phutta Sihing(Buddha statue) at this temple regarded as one of the most beautiful Buddha images. It was made with unique characteristics which are believed to be the great characteristics of the Buddha. Also Phra Pairee Pinart Buddha statue was made in the Mahayan style of Buddha images, it's name is given intending to warn people not to give up resisting desire and try to defeat lust. All this great Buddha statue are at this temple.
