Buddha - Raiking

One famous Buddha statue of Thailand. Many people called "Luangpor Raiking" from WatRaiking temple. By legends, there're 5 Buddha statues which flow by the river, belief offered by earth mother PhramaeTorani, once villagers founded, they invited the Buddha statue to the temple, and become 5 famous temples at present day.

BuddhaRaiking is the 2nd Buddha statue invite to WatRaiking temple. During the thailand new years Songkran festival is summer time. While move the BuddhaRaiking to place on top of the hall, there're blessing rain which bring down the heat. Everyone see as auspice day with blessing. Lead by the guru monks, they all pray that this area alway be peaceful and full of prosper.

There's no evidence record of when Buddha Raiking was made, possible Ayuttaya era then ordered by an abbot to convey through upper river side from northern province. Because the art of Buddha mix of the 3 era Cheangsan / Uthong and Sukhothai's Buddha art style.
