Luangpor Sod
Luangpor Sod is the founder of Dhamakaya practise knowledge of Buddha which gone by B.E.500 approx, he is one legendary guru monk of Thailand. Luangpor Sod is a great monk, both in his way of teaching meditation and his life. Elder called him LuangpuWatPaknam as he's abbot of the temple he stayed. Backthere, no matter how much people make donation, he only gave one Paknam amulet to one person, so have to visit many times and conduct karma, one of his will teaching. Luangpor Sod also teach about craft/greed in life, that must not be it slave to bring hatred and doubt toward others, as part of fear to bring bad karma and hell conquer in mind.
The monk born on Friday 10 October B.E.2427 at Village up north of WatSonrgpinong twin temple of Supanburi province. Son of "Ngern" and "Sudjai". Growth up and study at WatSorngpinong temple, then continue at WatPra of the same province. Luangpor Sod complete studied in khom language, then help his father sell rice in family.
When he was young, the monk had strong mind, strong will. What he do, he successed, never give up. The story told that one day the cows run off to other villages, the young boy spend night and day to bring them all back, never eat or sleep. Not by duty only, but by kindness toward other lives being, and known the other's deeds in return that other life bring to him and family.
When he's 14 years old, his father passed away, by too hard work on rice. He then continue the work of family by his own until 19 years old. On the way back when convey rices's bags by boat, he saw a theif wait to steal his goods and money around thousands batch, which is much in the past. He then ask his worker to control the wheel at the back, he grad the gun and ready for combat. During the time there was thought, that his worker were hired only 11-12 baht, it's very cheap money, it doesn't worth the risk to bring dealth to all their families. The man never take advantage of poor people, and not admire by those who despite him about his way of living. He then took the wheel as most risk position instead, said to bring it the theifs. It was safe to everyone, by luck and god blessed.
Luangpor Sod then consider this accident, cycle to killing never end, people speak dishonest to other, also despite others with silenet jealousy, look and blame to others by never look at themself. Men greed and doubt teached the him life lesson. He known that it will not be last time to meet theifs on the way and he don't want to kill and hurt other for money, for the rest of his life. He decide to ordain.
When he pray by his soul, he pray that once he ordain, he'll never leave the monk hood. He'll spend the life there toward goodness and make gift to others. Luangpor Sod ordain by PhraArcharnDee is PhraUpatcha(One of can ordain monk) at an age of 19 years old and again with right ceremony by 22 years old at WatSorngpinong twing temple. Where he growth up and learned.
LuangporSod become a monk, spend 1 year at the temple, then move to WatPhraChetupon Bangkok to study Pariyatdharma of the monk. During the time, he find it difficult at first for Bintabaht, because no one offering good at all, monks can't cook or go shopping in market, what he had is water.
One day during his bintabaht, he receive only 1 big spoon of rice and one banana, it very tired on the way and haven't eat anything for 2 days. When he start to eat the food, he also see a stray dog by the temple, very skinny because it haven't eat anything for many days. He then share the food with stray dog, the dog eat only plain rice, not banana. The story told that it is karma gather, when time pass by, just like any guru monk. Food and water, alway full supply and never get desparate in life. Full of living happy to the last day because the right way of living.
Luangpor Sod continue to study Pali language, then Pali's scrolls, other scrolls in mantras/ceremony/dharma until he can practise on his own and teach others. He become a very knowledgeable monk that admire by many people during the time. He love to practise dharma and meditation, alway visited any guru monks that can advise/teach him lesson, to keep his mind open and alway continue to learn.
At his 11 years in the monk hood, he told himself that he been practise dharma every day, but he is still far from arrahant and Buddha, his meditation and spiritual practise still far from guru monks. He then go inside the ordation hall, pray to Buudha. Luangpor Sod sit meditation with "Summa Arahang" until he find his mind as crystal ball at center of his body, it bring peaceful and delight. It is enligthen, later by the afternoon he then pray to Buddha. Ask that if this is the blessing to his soul toward his way of living by all spirits, please bless him to reach enlightenment, he then will alway conduct good karma toward Buddha and religion for the rest of his life.
Luangpor Sod's way of life and meditaiton practise are legendary. Famous worldwide with millions of students at present day. He is a respectful elder and guru monk of Thailand.
