This temple WatTanonhakyai, is the temple Luangpor Koon ordained first time on 2 May B.E.2547(a.d.1944) by PhraKruVijartigid as PhraUpacha(One who's ordain other monks). As the time before WatBanrai. Luangpor Koon spended his temple studied Dharma here at this temple while Luangpu Khong Putasroh is an abbot, one guru monk of Thailand.

Luangpor Koon started his pilgrimage among forest cave and thailand's border with Luangpu Khong,his teacher. He learned many knownledge on mantras/spells and how to make powerful protection Takrut from Luangpu Khong. Luangpu Khong Putasroh is the 1st master of Luangpor Koon, at present his photo/image shown at WatBanrai. Later time, Luangpu Khong then took Luangpor Koon to studied with Luangpor Dang of WatNorngpoh temple.

Ubosod(Ordation Hall) at WatTanonhakyai temple is deteriorate through time, the present abbot of this temple then visit Luangpor Koon and ask for his support to renovate. Luangpor Koon agreed to help and make one good batch of holy items to bring support/donation from peole around the world.
